Where each workflow fits
A client’s Page calendar and their group outreach may need different workflows. Give each client a clear identity, reviewed content and a report that separates public posts from approval holds.
Keep your wider social calendar if it serves your clients well. Add a focused group workflow only for clients with relevant communities, suitable permissions and a realistic review process.
| Your task | Agency social media tools | Group Posting |
|---|---|---|
| Page calendar | Buffer documents Facebook Page connections. Hootsuite’s connection guide, updated 26 October 2026, lists Pages. | Use your preferred Page calendar alongside the group workflow. |
| Group workflow | Buffer documents mobile notification publishing; Hootsuite’s connection guide does not list Facebook groups. | Review and run selected group posts in the connected desktop browser. |
| Client separation | Evaluate the current workspace and approval features of your calendar. | Agency workspaces keep client context, managed runs and reporting distinct. |
| Report language | Ask what each tool’s delivery status actually establishes. | Distinguish confirmed publication, pending approval, unconfirmed outcomes and failures. |
| Operational requirement | Plan who completes any manual publishing step. | Keep the assigned extension/browser connected and verify the client’s Facebook identity. |

Questions before you choose
Should an agency replace its whole social calendar?
Only if the replacement supports the channels and approval process the agency needs. Group Posting focuses on Facebook group work; it can sit alongside a broader calendar instead of replacing every client workflow.
What should a client report show?
Show the reporting window and separate confirmed public posts, pending approval, unconfirmed outcomes and failures. Explain missing coverage. Submission counts alone do not establish that every post became public or generated a lead.
Can any tool guarantee that a Facebook group post will be published?
No. Facebook can limit an account or reject a submission, and group administrators can require approval. Group Posting uses your logged-in desktop browser; keep the browser open, choose relevant groups and review each result. An approval hold is not a confirmed public post.
