Where each workflow fits
Facebook Page publishing and Facebook group work have different requirements. Start by checking which account type you need to publish to, then choose your calendar and client workflow.
Use Hootsuite when your priority is a broad social management workspace. Evaluate Group Posting for the separate task of posting to relevant Facebook groups from an active desktop session.
| Your task | Hootsuite | Group Posting |

Questions before you choose
Can I connect a Facebook group to Hootsuite like a Page?
Hootsuite’s connection guide, updated 26 October 2026, lists Facebook Pages and does not list Facebook groups. Confirm it with Hootsuite before purchasing.
Can any tool guarantee that a Facebook group post will be published?
No. Facebook can limit an account or reject a submission, and group administrators can require approval. Group Posting uses your logged-in desktop browser; keep the browser open, choose relevant groups and review each result. An approval hold is not a confirmed public post.
